Just In: GPDA President Criticizes FIA for Double Standards Regarding Driver Penalties….see more

In a recent statement, the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA) President has openly criticized the FIA for what he describes as “blatant double standards” in enforcing penalties and regulations. The criticism comes in the wake of several controversial decisions in recent races, where drivers have been penalized inconsistently for similar on-track incidents.

The GPDA President expressed frustration with the governing body’s lack of transparency and uniformity, claiming that certain teams and drivers appear to receive leniency, while others are more harshly punished for the same infractions. The inconsistency has reportedly caused frustration among drivers, many of whom feel that the FIA’s decisions are often influenced by external factors such as team reputations or fan reactions.

“Drivers are seeking clarity and fairness, but right now, we’re left in the dark,” said the GPDA President. He emphasized the need for more stringent rules to ensure every driver is held to the same standard, regardless of their team or status in the sport.

The FIA has yet to respond to these allegations, but insiders suggest that this criticism may prompt further internal discussions about rule enforcement and transparency moving forward.
