In a contentious new column, Steve Simmons attacks Ron MacLean.
Columnist for the Toronto Sun Steve Simmons is well-known for his contentious reports that consistently appear to enrage NHL players and coaches. But recently, he attacked Ron MacLean, the legend of Hockey Night in Canada. Recently, MacLean agreed to do an interview for Rogers, who recently acquired a sizable share in the Toronto Maple Leafs. Rogers has faced criticism in the past few years, with many people thinking that by acquiring the majority of the MLSE, the business is going too far.
One may characterize the interview with Rogers and MacLean as somewhat softball-esque. Having said that, Simmons attacked MacLean, saying that he never ought to have granted the request in the first place. Although it was a critical piece, some fans might find value in it.
