David Tepper, the owner of the Panthers, is ripped by Jimmy Johnson
Jimmy Johnson believes he understands the root of the Carolina Panthers’ problems, despite the team’s disarray. Johnson stated that David Tepper, the owner of the Panthers, is the problem on FOX NFL Sunday. Tepper was criticized by Johnson because the team benched Bryce Young after just two games this season.
The issue is with the Carolina Panthers’ owner. Johnson remarked, “He’s making the big decisions without consulting his football people.” It’s his group. He is free to act however he pleases. But see who’s still standing. He is now the one who desired to select Bryce Young first overall. Brian Burns, D.J. Moore, and Christian McCaffrey. Sam Darnold, you look at Baker Mayfield. Examine the coaches: Matt Rhule, Frank Reich, and Steve Wilks. Continues without end. He’s eliminated them all. He is the one making choices. He needs to give up playing fantasy football and pay attention to the football community.
Johnson is hardly the first to attack Tepper or point the finger at the proprietor as the cause of Carolina’s issues. But he stood on a large platform and conveyed what may have been the most plain and compelling statement of anyone. Tepper took over the Panthers before the 2018 campaign began. Since he took coach, the squad has gone 31–70 and has never won more than seven games in a season.
