NASCAR has suspended driver Bubba Wallace for one race following his actions during the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 16, 2022. The incident occurred on Lap 94 when Wallace and Kyle Larson made contact, resulting in Wallace’s car hitting the outside wall. In retaliation, Wallace deliberately spun Larson’s car, ending both drivers’ races. NASCAR deemed Wallace’s actions a violation of Sections 4.3.A and 4.4.C & E of the NASCAR Member Code of Conduct, which pertain to intentionally wrecking another vehicle and engaging in physical confrontations. citeturn0search2 As a result, Wallace was suspended from the subsequent race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. 23XI Racing, Wallace’s team, supported NASCAR’s decision and appointed John Hunter Nemechek as the substitute driver for the Homestead-Miami race.
