NEW ERA FOR WISCONSIN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL:Wisconsin lands former Missouri leader for head coach….

The University of Wisconsin has ushered in a new era for its women’s basketball program by appointing Robin Pingeton as the head coach. This decision comes shortly after Marisa Moseley resigned from the position on March 9, 2025, citing personal reasons.

Pingeton brings a wealth of experience to the Badgers, having served as the head coach at the University of Missouri for 15 seasons. During her tenure with the Tigers, she achieved a 250-218 record and led the team to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2016 to 2019. Prior to her time at Missouri, Pingeton was the head coach at Illinois State University, where she guided the Redbirds to two NCAA Tournament berths and three straight Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles.

Wisconsin’s Athletic Director, Chris McIntosh, expressed confidence in Pingeton’s ability to revitalize the program, highlighting her extensive coaching experience and Midwest roots. Pingeton acknowledged the challenges ahead but conveyed enthusiasm about the opportunity to lead the Badgers, emphasizing her commitment to leveraging her experience in the Southeastern Conference to foster growth and success in Madison.

The Badgers aim to overcome a series of challenging seasons, including a 13-17 record in the most recent campaign. With Pingeton at the helm, the program looks forward to building a competitive team and re-establishing a winning culture.
