Gators’ Kenleigh Cahalan Commits to Oklahoma Sooners Today….
Kenleigh Cahalan, a standout infielder from Trussville, Alabama, has officially committed to the Oklahoma Sooners softball team. This announcement comes after a notable tenure with the Florida Gators, where she transferred in June 2024 following her freshman year at Alabama.

During her time with the Gators, Cahalan earned recognition as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Player of the Week on February 25, 2025. She also secured a spot on the 2024 All-SEC Second Team, highlighting her exceptional performance in the Southeastern Conference.
Prior to joining the Gators, Cahalan made a significant impact at Alabama. In her sophomore year (2024), she led the Crimson Tide with a .296 batting average, amassing 55 hits, including eight doubles and five triples. She also tied for the team lead in RBIs with 30. Her impressive performance earned her a spot on the All-SEC Second Team.
Cahalan’s softball journey began at Hewitt-Trussville High School, where she was honored as Alabama Miss Softball in 2022. She also received the MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year award that same year. Her high school accolades further include two-time PGF All-American and MaxPreps All-American honors, underscoring her exceptional talent from an early age.
As Cahalan transitions to the Oklahoma Sooners, her extensive experience and proven track record are poised to make a significant impact on the team’s performance in the upcoming seasons.
