How Will Penn State’s $700 Million Renovation Impact Beaver Stadium’s Capacity?….
Penn State’s $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium aims to modernize the facility while maintaining its status as one of the largest stadiums in the country. The project, scheduled for completion before the 2027 season, will introduce various enhancements, including upgraded amenities, improved Wi-Fi, expanded concourses, and new premium seating options.

During the renovation period, Beaver Stadium’s capacity is expected to remain above 100,000. Temporary measures for the 2025 season include installing 7,900 bleacher seats atop the suite level and providing additional concession and restroom facilities. Penn State is committed to maintaining a capacity exceeding 100,000 throughout the renovation, ensuring that the stadium continues to be one of the largest in the country.
Upon completion, the renovated stadium will feature a mix of seating options, with approximately 75% designated as non-premium in the lower and upper levels. Premium seating will include suites, loge boxes, and club areas such as the 20,000-square-foot Schuyler Family Club and the 35,000-square-foot Marzano Club. These updates aim to enhance the fan experience while preserving Beaver Stadium’s historic capacity and atmosphere.
