Penn State’s wrestling team showcased a flawless performance during Session II of the NCAA National Championships, advancing all ten wrestlers to the quarterfinals and maintaining their lead in the team standings with 39.5 points.

Session II Results:
125 lbs: No. 1 Luke Lilledahl secured a technical fall over No. 16 Blake West (NIU) with a 19-3 victory.
133 lbs: No. 8 Braeden Davis earned a 5-3 decision against No. 9 Braxton Brown (MD).
141 lbs: No. 2 Beau Bartlett achieved a 4-1 decision over No. 18 Julian Tagg (SDSU).
149 lbs: No. 3 Shayne Van Ness dominated No. 19 Andrew Clark (RUT) with an 11-1 major decision.
157 lbs: No. 1 Tyler Kasak defeated No. 16 Cody Chittum (ISU) with an 8-3 decision.
165 lbs: No. 1 Mitchell Mesenbrink achieved a 22-6 technical fall against No. 16 Kyle Mosher (HOF).
174 lbs: No. 2 Levi Haines secured a 4-0 decision over No. 18 Gavin Sax (OKLA).
184 lbs: No. 1 Carter Starocci dominated No. 16 Shane Cartagena-Walsh (RUT) with a 15-0 technical fall.
197 lbs: No. 4 Josh Barr edged out No. 13 Trey Munoz (ORST) with a 5-2 sudden victory decision.
285 lbs: No. 3 Greg Kerkvliet secured a 4-0 decision against No. 14 Gavin Hoffman (LH).
The Nittany Lions’ exceptional performance positions them ahead of second-place Nebraska (29.0 points) and third-place Oklahoma State (27.0 points).
