As of March 26, 2025, there are no official reports or announcements confirming that Tennessee Volunteers women’s basketball star Jewel Spear has secured a $30 million endorsement deal or donated $13 million to the program. Spear, a 5-foot-10 guard from The Colony, Texas, transferred to Tennessee in May 2023 after a successful three-year tenure at Wake Forest, where she earned two All-ACC honors and became the school’s 10th all-time leading scorer with 1,385 points.

During her time with the Lady Vols, Spear has made significant contributions both on and off the court. In February 2025, she was named SEC Co-Player of the Week after averaging 22.5 points per game and leading Tennessee to victories over Auburn and Ole Miss. Off the court, Spear participated in the Tennessee-Rwanda Leadership Experience in the summer of 2024, engaging in community service and leadership development activities in Rwanda.

While Spear’s achievements and leadership are noteworthy, there is currently no evidence to support claims of a $30 million endorsement deal or a $13 million donation to the Tennessee women’s basketball program.
