Penn State’s Beau Bartlett Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week….

Penn State senior wrestler Beau Bartlett has been named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week for the week ending February 16, 2025. This marks his third such honor this season and contributes to Penn State’s 11th conference award of the year.

Bartlett’s recognition follows a standout weekend where he secured two significant victories. On February 14, he defeated top-ranked Jesse Mendez of Ohio State with a 4-2 decision, achieving the only takedown of the match in the first period. Two days later, Bartlett dominated No. 17 Danny Pucino of Illinois, earning a 9-2 win. These performances have elevated Bartlett’s season record to 17-0, including three pins, two technical falls, and three major decisions.

Bartlett’s consistent excellence has been pivotal in Penn State’s successful season. The Nittany Lions concluded their Big Ten dual schedule undefeated at 8-0, securing their 11th Big Ten Regular Season Championship. They hold an overall record of 14-0. The team is set to host American University on February 21 at Rec Hall, aiming to maintain their unblemished record.
