Penn State’s football program continues to strengthen its defensive line with the addition of top prospects. One notable commitment is Liam Andrews, a 4-star defensive lineman from Dexter Southfield High in Brookline, Massachusetts. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 275 pounds, Andrews is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in Massachusetts and 101st nationally. He chose Penn State over offers from Ohio State, Michigan, and Oklahoma, citing the Nittany Lions’ defensive scheme and his strong relationship with defensive line coach Deion Barnes as key factors in his decision.

In addition to Andrews, Penn State has secured commitments from other talented defensive linemen. Trent Wilson, a 4-star defensive tackle from Wise High School in Maryland, has been a frequent visitor to Happy Valley, attending multiple events including Junior Days and the Blue-White Spring Game. Wilson holds offers from top programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State, but Penn State’s consistent engagement has positioned them favorably in his recruitment.

Furthermore, Yvan Kemajou, a 3-star defensive lineman from Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, Maryland, committed to Penn State in July 2024. Kemajou, ranked as the No. 49 defensive lineman nationally, chose the Nittany Lions over Virginia Tech, Duke, and Rutgers.

These commitments underscore Penn State’s dedication to bolstering its defensive front, ensuring a robust lineup for future seasons.
