Penn State wrestling wins fourth straight national title for the third time….

The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team has clinched its fourth consecutive NCAA national championship, marking the third time in program history that they have achieved such a remarkable streak. Under the leadership of head coach Cael Sanderson, Penn State has solidified its dominance in collegiate wrestling.

In the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships held in Philadelphia, the Nittany Lions showcased exceptional performances. Notably, Carter Starocci made history by becoming the first wrestler to secure five national titles, achieving this unprecedented feat after moving up to the 184-pound weight class. His victory was facilitated by an eligibility waiver granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, Penn State crowned multiple individual champions, contributing significantly to their team title. The Nittany Lions amassed 172.5 points, setting a new NCAA record and finishing 100 points ahead of the second-place team. This dominant performance underscores Penn State’s wrestling prowess and their sustained excellence in the sport.

The team’s success is further highlighted by the achievements of other wrestlers, including Aaron Brooks, who became the seventh four-time NCAA champion. Such individual accomplishments have been instrumental in cementing Penn State’s status as a wrestling powerhouse.

This latest championship adds to Penn State’s illustrious wrestling legacy, reflecting a culture of excellence and a commitment to maintaining their position at the pinnacle of collegiate wrestling.
