The Tennessee Lady Volunteers, holding a 22-9 record, have secured a No. 5 seed in the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and are set to face the 12th-seeded South Florida Bulls (23-10) in the first round. This matchup is scheduled for Friday, March 21, at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Tennessee boasts a storied NCAA Tournament history, being the only program to participate in all 43 tournaments, amassing a record of 131-34, and claiming eight national championships. In first-round games, the Lady Vols have an impressive 34-2 record.
South Florida earned its NCAA berth by clinching the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament title with a 69-62 victory over Rice on March 12. The Bulls have demonstrated strong form, winning 10 of their last 12 games.
The winner of this game will advance to face the victor between No. 4 seed Ohio State and No. 13 seed Montana State in the second round on Sunday, March 23.
