A native of Wausau, Wisconsin, Prokop has spent the past three seasons with Union College in the NCAA. In 36 games this season, he recorded 27 points, including eight goals and 19 assists, leading all Union defencemen in scoring. Over his collegiate career, Prokop accumulated 85 points (20 goals, 65 assists) in 107 games.
