Locked In:” Wisconsin Snags 3-Star center Will Garlock, No. 1 Overall, Over top SEC Big Offers. Ohio, Michigan, Penn State, Virginia Tech….
The Wisconsin Badgers have secured a significant commitment for their 2025 men’s basketball recruiting class by landing in-state prospect Will Garlock, a 6-foot-11 center from Middleton High School. Garlock, rated as a three-star recruit, chose Wisconsin over notable programs such as Marquette, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Iowa.

During his junior year, Garlock showcased his versatility and skill set, averaging 16.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. His ability to play both inside and outside, combined with his mobility and defensive presence, aligns well with Wisconsin’s playing style.
Garlock’s decision was heavily influenced by the strong relationships he built with the Badgers’ coaching staff and players. He expressed confidence that Coach Greg Gard and his team could maximize his potential. Despite growing up near Madison, Garlock emphasized that his choice was based on the program’s merits rather than proximity to home.
This commitment marks Wisconsin’s second in-state addition to their 2025 class, following the earlier pledge from De Pere High School guard Zach Kinziger. With these additions, the Badgers’ 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked fifth nationally.
Garlock’s commitment underscores Wisconsin’s dedication to recruiting top-tier talent and maintaining a competitive edge in the Big Ten.
