BREAKING: Just Confirmed a Few Minutes Ago, the Raiders Made a Pivotal Move in the 2025 NFL Free Agency by Signing Two Free Agents to Boost Their Roster….

In a decisive move to strengthen their roster for the upcoming 2025 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders have secured two notable free agents: safety Jeremy Chinn and guard Alex Cappa.

Jeremy Chinn

Following the departure of standout safety Tre’von Moehrig to the Carolina Panthers, the Raiders acted swiftly to fill the void by signing Jeremy Chinn from the Washington Commanders. Chinn agreed to a two-year contract valued at over $16 million. Known for his versatility, Chinn amassed 117 tackles, including seven for loss, and defended five passes in the previous season. His ability to adapt across various defensive roles—playing significant snaps at safety, slot corner, and linebacker—adds a dynamic element to the Raiders’ secondary. Pairing Chinn with Isaiah Pola-Mao is anticipated to bolster the team’s defensive flexibility and resilience.

Alex Cappa

To address offensive line concerns, the Raiders have signed veteran guard Alex Cappa to a two-year, $11.2 million deal, with $5 million guaranteed. Cappa brings a wealth of experience, having started 96 of 102 career games with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His durability is notable, playing 17 games in three of the last four seasons. This acquisition aims to enhance the Raiders’ offensive line performance, which ranked 22nd in run block win rate and 17th in pass block win rate in 2024. Cappa’s familiarity with Raiders’ general manager John Spytek, from their shared tenure in Tampa Bay, likely influenced this strategic signing.

These signings underscore the Raiders’ commitment to reinforcing both their defensive and offensive units, positioning the team for a competitive edge in the forthcoming season.
