“Raiders Expected to Land $15M, 1,000-Yard Rusher—Backfield Shake-Up Coming?”….

The Las Vegas Raiders have been actively seeking to bolster their backfield this offseason. Recent reports suggest that star defensive end Maxx Crosby has advocated for the team to pursue free-agent running back Najee Harris, who has consistently surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in each of his four NFL seasons. Harris, who played out the final year of his $18 million contract in 2024, rushed for 1,043 yards with six touchdowns last season.

In addition to these speculations, the Raiders have made a concrete move by signing veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year, $2.1 million contract. Mostert, 32, enjoyed a standout season in 2023 with the Miami Dolphins, rushing for 1,012 yards and leading the NFL with 21 total touchdowns. However, his production dipped in 2024, totaling 278 yards and two touchdowns over 13 games.

These developments indicate the Raiders’ commitment to revamping their running game, aiming to improve upon their 4-13 record from the previous season. The potential addition of Harris, alongside Mostert’s experience, could signal a significant shift in the team’s offensive strategy for the upcoming season.
