Former Ohio State Star QB Had ‘Ugly’ Showing at NFL Scouting Combine…..

Former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard, who led the Buckeyes to a national championship in 2024, faced significant challenges during the recent NFL Scouting Combine. His performance was widely criticized, with NFL draft analyst Chris Trapasso labeling it “ugly” due to noticeable inaccuracies at all levels of the field during the throwing sessions.

A good 46-second clip showcasing Howard’s missed passes, particularly on deep throws, went viral, amassing over 5.8 million views and prompting fans to deem it the “worst combine performance ever.”

In response to the backlash, fellow quarterback Shedeur Sanders defended Howard, highlighting the difficulty of throwing to unfamiliar receivers in such settings. Sanders emphasized that each receiver runs routes differently, making it challenging for quarterbacks to adjust quickly.

Despite the criticism, Howard remained optimistic about his abilities, expressing confidence in his footwork and looking forward to showcasing his skills at Ohio State’s Pro Day on March 26.

This incident underscores the pressures quarterbacks face during the combine, especially when working with unfamiliar personnel, and how such performances can significantly impact their draft prospects.
