**Larry Johnson Officially Announces Retirement from Ohio State**

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio State football fans have officially said goodbye to one of the most revered coaches in program history. Larry Johnson, the legendary defensive line coach, has confirmed his retirement after a remarkable tenure with the Buckeyes.

Johnson made the announcement earlier this week, marking the end of an era that spanned over two decades. Throughout his career, Johnson became synonymous with the development of elite defensive talent, playing a pivotal role in producing some of the most dominant defensive linemen in college football history. His tenure at Ohio State, which began in 2014, saw him help mold All-Americans and future NFL stars, including Chase Young, Nick Bosa, and Joey Bosa.

In a statement, Johnson expressed gratitude for his time at Ohio State, citing the university’s commitment to excellence, the support of his family, and the relationships built with players and staff. “It has been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with so many great young men,” Johnson said. “I am proud of what we have accomplished here and excited to see the future of this program continue to thrive.”

Prior to joining Ohio State, Johnson had an impressive coaching career at Penn State, where he spent over a decade coaching the Nittany Lions’ defensive line. His expertise in developing pass rushers and his mentorship helped set the foundation for several successful seasons.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day praised Johnson for his leadership, saying, “Larry’s impact on this program goes far beyond the football field. His legacy will live on through the countless players he’s helped develop into leaders, both on and off the field.”

As Johnson steps away from the game, Ohio State will now begin the search for a replacement who can carry on the tradition of excellence he established.
