Breaking News: 5-Star QB Therrian Alexander Shocks College Football World by Decommitting from BYU, Choosing Wisconsin Badgers Over Penn State and Others…..

In a surprising turn of events, highly-touted cornerback recruit Therrian “Tre” Alexander III has decommitted from Brigham Young University (BYU) and committed to the University of Wisconsin. Alexander, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound athlete from Ellenwood, Georgia, was initially a three-star prospect in BYU’s 2024 recruiting class.

Alexander’s recruitment journey has been dynamic. Despite reaffirming his commitment to BYU in December 2024, even after receiving offers from programs like Georgia Tech, West Virginia, and Houston, he has now opted to join the Wisconsin Badgers. This decision comes as a shock to many, as Alexander had previously turned down offers from other Power Five schools, including Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and NC State, in favor of BYU.

At Wisconsin, Alexander is expected to bring his elite length and athleticism to the Badgers’ secondary. His combination of size and speed makes him a valuable asset, and he has the potential to make an immediate impact in the Big Ten conference. This commitment bolsters Wisconsin’s 2025 recruiting class and adds depth to their defensive backfield.

BYU, on the other hand, will need to adjust to the loss of one of its top recruits. The Cougars’ coaching staff had invested considerable effort in securing Alexander’s commitment, and his departure leaves a notable gap in their future defensive plans.
