Done deal: Toronto Maple Leafs have just signed a blockbuster trade with Seattle Kraken…….
As of February 21, 2025, there have been no recent blockbuster trades between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Seattle Kraken. The most notable transaction between these two teams occurred on March 20, 2022, when the Maple Leafs acquired defenseman Mark Giordano and forward Colin Blackwell from the Kraken. In exchange, Seattle received second-round picks in the 2022 and 2023 NHL Drafts, along with a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. As part of the deal, the Kraken retained 50% of Giordano’s contract.
In a more recent move, on December 19, 2024, the Seattle Kraken traded defenseman Will Borgen and two draft picks to the New York Rangers in exchange for Finnish winger Kaapo Kakko. This trade aimed to bolster Seattle’s offensive lineup.
