Former Ohio State assistant coach named Penn State running back…

 

Stan Drayton, a former Ohio State assistant coach, has been appointed as Penn State’s running backs coach, as announced on February 14, 2025. Drayton brings over three decades of coaching experience, including a notable tenure at Ohio State from 2011 to 2014, where he coached running backs like Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliott.

Before joining Penn State, Drayton served as the head coach at Temple University from 2022 to 2024. His extensive career also includes positions with the Chicago Bears, University of Texas, and multiple other collegiate programs. Penn State’s head coach, James Franklin, expressed enthusiasm about Drayton’s addition, highlighting his vast experience and success in developing elite running backs.
