Five-Star Elite Wisconsin Volleyball Star Charlie Fuerbringer Cancels Rival Visits, Fully Commits to Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Volleyball Team……
Five-star recruit and elite setter, Charlie Fuerbringer, has solidified her commitment to the University of Wisconsin’s women’s volleyball team, canceling visits to rival programs. Hailing from Hermosa Beach, California, Fuerbringer boasts an impressive volleyball lineage; her mother, Joy, was an All-American setter at Long Beach State, leading the 49ers to the 1993 NCAA Championship, while her father, Matt, was a four-time All-American at Stanford and a member of the 1997 national championship team.

Fuerbringer’s decision to join the Badgers was influenced by the team’s evident chemistry and the welcoming atmosphere she experienced during her campus visit. She remarked, “The second I stepped onto campus, Madison felt like home. I was welcomed with open arms by not only my future teammates but by people who did not even know me.”
As a freshman in the 2024 season, Fuerbringer made an immediate impact, starting in 32 of 33 matches. She averaged 10.95 assists per set, ranking third in the Big Ten and 13th nationally. Her outstanding performance earned her multiple accolades, including AVCA All-American Third Team honors, All-Big Ten Second Team, and Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice.
Fuerbringer’s commitment and early success underscore her potential to be a cornerstone for the Badgers, aiming to continue the program’s tradition of excellence in the coming years.
