Model Jared Goff’s fiancée, Christen Harper of the Detroit Lions, claimed that she gets death threats when the team loses.
In an interview with Rachel DeMita of ESPN for the Courtside Club podcast, Harper, 29, stated that she had discovered how to “not listen” to the hurtful remarks she encounters on social media following defeats.
She said on the program, “After a loss, I get the most death threats; my DMs just blow up with, like, crazy stuff.”
“People can be crazy, people can be mean, and I think what I’ve learned is to just not listen,” she said. “In the end, it’s only a game, but it’s essential because it’s our lives and his life, respectively. However, the purpose of the other attendees is merely amusement. Additionally, they’re going to say stuff while intoxicated and acting in general. I’ve discovered that the best course of action is to try to tune out the background noise and savor the present moment as it fades.”
